The Results Are In
We are pleased to announce the release of this year’s Energy & Propane Industry Survey results! The 2026 results are based on reported operational and financial data for the heating season stretching from April 2025 through March 2026, including additional operational insights from Angus Energy, an industry leader in data analytics, and the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC), as well as a partnership with Warm Thoughts Communications, a leading strategic marketing services firm for the residential propane, heating oil and HVAC industries.
The 2026 survey highlights several key trends, including the growing use of artificial intelligence among fuel dealers and propane companies, ongoing challenges with employee recruitment and retention, more formalized marketing budgets and spending as a percentage of annual revenue, steady profitability with improving margins and more.
