HITRUST Authorized External Assessor Council Appoints Frazier & Deeter for Third Term

The council provides a means for assessors to supply feedback directly and significantly influence the HITRUST Assurance program while also continuing to advance the benefits of HITRUST in the marketplace.

Frazier & Deeter (FD), a Top 50 accounting and advisory firm, announced today that it has been named to the 2024 HITRUST Authorized External Assessor Council, marking the firm’s third nomination for a two-year term.

The council, comprised of 18 firms that represent a broad range of experience in information security and privacy, interacts regularly with HITRUST to share challenges and opportunities relating to its service offerings. This partnership ensures the integrity, effectiveness and efficiency needed to uphold the highest standards of excellence.

As part of HITRUST’s certification process, organizations must undergo validation by a HITRUST-approved assessor every two years. FD’s dedicated team of certified HITRUST practitioners has extensive experience helping organizations comply with the framework’s information security and privacy requirements. Additionally, FD has held positions on key HITRUST committees, including the HITRUST Quality Council and HITRUST Third-Party Risk Management Program (TPRM).
